We intentionally stay small. If a role needs a team of 20 to move the needle, we do not build it yet.
Domain first, then AI
The AI is only as good as the regulatory graph. Everyone on the team owns some portion of the graph.

Our customers pay flat fees. Our engagements are fixed-scope. Our team compensation is straightforward. No hidden meters.

Queue Intelligence · Founding · NYC or remote (US)

Founding Regulatory Engineer — Interconnection

Own the regulatory graph for large-load interconnection across every US ISO, RTO, and major utility. This role is half interconnection engineer, half software engineer — you will ship code, not memos.

Model ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, NYISO large-load processes as structured schemas
Stand up nightly ingestion of queue, outage, and base case data
Partner with eng to ship a PSS/E–compatible upgrade cost modeler
Be the voice in the room when ISO tariffs change

Must have

5+ years working on generation or large-load interconnection
Comfort with PSS/E, PowerWorld, PSCAD, or PLEXOS
Willingness to learn (or already know) Python and TypeScript

Nice to have

Prior consulting at Burns & McDonnell, Black & Veatch, POWER, or DNV
ISO/RTO staff experience
A portfolio of filings you have personally prepared

BTM Workflow · Founding · NYC, DC, or remote (US)

Founding Regulatory Engineer — FERC / Co-location

Own the FERC, PUC, and NRC regulatory surface for the BTM Workflow product. Encode new orders into structured workflow objects within a week of publication. Partner with legal counsel but not bill by the hour.

Encode the FERC 12/2025 co-location order as a structured deal-flow object
Track every active PUC docket, NRC proceeding, and FERC rulemaking that touches large loads
Ship drafting tools for ISA amendments, NRC OL amendments, and retail licensing filings
Build the precedent search corpus for FERC, NRC, and state PUC orders

Must have

Energy regulatory background — in-house at a power company, ISO, RTO, or utility
Deep knowledge of FERC procedure and at least one state PUC
Comfortable working alongside engineers and product, not just counsel

Nice to have

Prior experience at Latham, Gibson Dunn, Baker Botts, or similar (but wanting to ship product instead of briefs)
Former FERC staff or advisor
Published commentary on co-location rulemaking

Senior AI Engineer — Form Mapping

Extend the form-mapping engine that already ships affordable housing bond applications at Cliffwide, into data center incentive applications and regulatory filings. This is the technical core of five products.

Extend our canonical project schema to cover DC-specific attributes
Train and evaluate field-extraction and field-mapping models on PDFs
Build the evaluation harness — 100% audit fidelity is the floor
Ship with a small team shipping to production weekly

Must have

5+ years of production ML engineering, preferably with LLM-based pipelines
Comfort with evaluation-first development and per-field audit logging
TypeScript and Python

Nice to have

Experience with structured document extraction (Donut, Layoutlmv3, Nougat)
Prior work on regulatory or legal tech
Contributions to open source eval tooling

Site Intelligence · Full-time · NYC or remote (US)

Site Intelligence Data Engineer

Own the data pipeline that stitches EIA, NRC, ISO/RTO, EPA, and county GIS sources into a single geospatial index. The chart is valuable because the data is clean; that is your job.

Build ingestion pipelines for 10+ public data sources
Design schemas that survive upstream schema drift
Run the nightly refresh with audit logging and diff alerts
Partner with the Queue Intelligence team on shared substation and POI data

Must have

Strong Python and SQL; comfort with ETL at scale
Experience with geospatial data (PostGIS, H3, Shapefile, GeoJSON)
Care deeply about data quality and provenance

Nice to have

Experience with EIA, NRC, or EPA APIs
Prior energy or infrastructure domain work
A favorite county GIS portal

Predevelopment Services · Full-time · NYC

Head of Predevelopment Services

Lead the services arm — AI-augmented predevelopment consulting at 50–70% of traditional fees. Recruit the analyst bench, scope the engagements, protect the fixed-fee economics, and feed every learning back into the platform.

You will

Close and scope the first 10–30 engagements
Hire and manage a small analyst bench (domain + AI fluency)
Be responsible for delivery quality and customer outcomes
Work closely with product to productize repeating workflows

Must have

Prior leadership of a boutique consulting practice, or senior role at CBRE DC, JLL DC, or similar
Comfort pricing and delivering fixed-fee work
Deep rolodex in the data center predevelopment ecosystem

Nice to have

Prior experience at a venture-backed services-as-software company
Public authorship on data center predevelopment
Cross-discipline background (legal, finance, engineering)
